Slightly Disappointing4
This DVD was long awaited in our household--especially by me, so that I could watch the apparent unseen footage of the judges and the contestants. However, I was slightly disappointed overall. This is because when I watched the DVD, and most of the footage was from the TV series shown on ITV 1. I find that this was unsatisfactory because the spiel on the DVD suggested that there were auditions and clips we had not seen on either X factor or Xtra Factor.
Overall, it is a good DVD for an X Factor fan, the format is clever and the DVD is overall very well put together.

very good entertainment4
From the scary eyed cook " So I hope I can cook you up something today" to the saracophagal toothless widow "I'm 47"(Tuttenkhamun actually looks better today!!) and the look on the faces of the panel, this DVD is a barrel of laughs. Living abroad where many of the guests we entertain are non English speakers, this kind of entertainment bridges the language barrier, always guaranteeing rip roaring fun for all.
Eagerly awaiting more of the same.

Your kidding Right?3
Having spent more hours than I care to count forced to suffer the soul destroying, IQ sapping and uniquely British weekend evenings we all love, I believed that nothing could top my sense of despair. So imagine my surprise when, after the dread of discovering that this cheap alternative to proper drama had been made into a DVD, my desire to weep was replaced by that perverse curiosity one gets from driving past a road crash.

I have had an epiphany. The laughing gnomes were particularly good and what topped off my experience was the all pervading sense of monkeys. Indeed as the offering rose to a crescendo of bile I was swept away by the emotionally charged tears of so many lost souls. I do hope the series does not start to lose its originality and get repetitive.

Overall Awe inspiring to the point of genuine revelation - Especially that Simon thingy bloke. Or was that in Britain's Got Tea Towels? - Sorry I do get them mixed up. Cheerio.
